I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Westmead Hospital for the exceptional care my mum received during her surgery in the Easter holiday breaks. From the ED through to the K2B ward, the doctors and nurses were professional, compassionate, and attentive. A special thank you to Dr Corinna Chiong and the team for their outstanding expertise and care. My mum does not speak English, which can often be very stressful in a hospital setting. However, the kindness, patience, and reassurance shown by Dr Hanna Bruce and the recovery team, especially Kon, made her feel safe and well cared for throughout the entire process. We are truly grateful for the dedication and humanity shown by all staff involved. Thank you for making a difficult time much easier for our family.

I wanted to share a heartfelt thank you to the team at Westmead Hospital, especially Belinda on K8A and Elenor in the Pre-Operative Day Surgery Clinic. While my brothers overall experience was incredibly frustrating, having his surgery cancelled four times was emotionally and physically exhausting. However, Belinda and Elenor truly made a difference during such a difficult time. Both of these amazing women went above and beyond their duties, showing genuine care, empathy, and understanding. They took the time to listen, support, and reassure us when we needed it most. Their compassion did not go unnoticed, and it’s because of people like them that patients feel seen and cared for, even in challenging circumstances. Thank you for everything you do, you both are an absolute credit to your team.

I had a very positive experience at Wastmead hospital. The facilities and amenities were excellent, and my procedure went smoothly. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and supportive throughout the entire process. I especially appreciated that they followed up with me after I was discharged, and even called again the next day to check on my recovery. This level of care made me feel truly valued and reassured. I am very satisfied with the service I received and would highly recommend this hospital.

During my stay at Ward D-3D, Bed 44, I had a very positive experience. The staff were attentive, professional, and caring, ensuring my comfort and well-being throughout my recovery following my liver resection surgery. I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to the entire team for their dedication and hard work. A special acknowledgment goes to Roshani, who went above and beyond in providing exceptional care. Her kindness, attention to detail, and compassionate approach made a significant difference in my experience, helping me feel supported and at ease during my hospital stay. I am truly grateful for the outstanding care I received, and I sincerely thank everyone involved in my treatment.

I underwent Sinus surgery at Westmead hospital and was impressed by the professionalism and quality of care, in particular ENT surgeons Mim Sritharan and Lietaer Charlotte, 2 large cysts/polyps were removed and immediately afterwards a complete recovery, no pain whatsoever, has to be worlds best ENT surgery, 3 cheers for the hard working staff at Westmead hospital. They need more Doctors to help reduce public hospital waiting lists. The Federal Government should increase Medicare spending to match Australia's growing population as should the State Government in fully funding public hospitals, in particular more help for the mentally ill as the last place they should be is in the emergency department waiting for days to see a Phychriatrst. I have full confidence Westmead hospital can provide the world's best care and has doubled the number of patients seen in the last 30 years, the NSW Government as a matter of priority should fund the public sector in particular Westmead hospital, who provides such a great service to such a large metropolitan area. 10/10 🫡

Today I experienced what true healthcare should look like. I arrived at Westmead Hospital with a painful open distal phalanx fracture and was honestly determined to leave with just antibiotics because I was anxious about having surgery. The team never pressured me. Instead, they took the time to listen to my concerns, explain every option, answer every question with patience, and make sure I was completely comfortable before making my decision. Because of their reassurance, kindness and professionalism, I chose to have the procedure under a local anaesthetic. The injections stung for a few seconds, but after that I didn’t feel a thing. The surgeon expertly cleaned and repaired my finger while the entire team kept me calm, comfortable and reassured throughout. A heartfelt thank you to Yusra, Tim, Cindy, Sahand, Rupinder, Anzeh and Resa. Every one of you treated me not just as a patient, but as a person. Your warmth, compassion, humour and genuine care transformed what I thought would be a frightening experience into one where I felt completely safe and supported. The surgeon’s skill was exceptional, the nursing staff were outstanding, and the teamwork in the operating theatre was simply remarkable. You all work under immense pressure every day, yet you still found the time to show empathy, kindness and compassion. That speaks volumes about the people you are. You didn’t just repair my finger—but reminded me how extraordinary our healthcare professionals truly are. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will always remember the care you gave me today.
